Welcome to the Jungle.....

Roman turned 3 on December 27 and it only took us about a month to have a little party for him. Oh well, he still had fun and I think the other kids did too...so thats all that matters right?!

Here are some pictures from the Jungle party...

I love this picture, mostly because Roman did the thumbs up without being prompted and Ethan got a crazy face in the bottom right which I think is hysterical!

Getting ready to chow down on his monkey, the ears are already gone.

The Monkeys were definitely a favorite...I have to say these were so fun to make and SO EASY....just check out http://www.bettycrocker.com/baking if you are interested. The 3 year old all decked out with a chocolate mustache!

Cant believe my baby is 3!!

Another Romanism...

Roman: "He's paying him a butt"
Mommy: What did you say?
Roman: "He's paying him a BUTT" a little louder and more forcefull this time
Mommy: With confused look on her face, "Umm do you mean...pain in the butt?"
Roman: Excited that someone figured out what he is saying.."Yeah!!, he's paying him a butt!"
Nice!!

Christmas 2009

Christmas has come and gone and so has 2009...life seems to be going by way to fast. Here's some snap shots of our Christmas in Ashburn.Botanical gardens are quickly becoming a family tradition for us. We go every year to see the train expo and enjoy walking through all the different plant habitat rooms that they have there. This year we had to battle the snow to do it but it was so worth it. G&G Davis have been with us for this trek two years in a row! For all you political buffs I think I may have even caught sight of Kay Bailey Hutchenson while we there...(perhaps she needed a break from the madness happening inside the capital building which is located just a stones throw from the gardens)

It was fun to see Washington DC under a blanket of white...
The boys eagerly awaiting the chance to open their Christmas Eve gifts (another tradtion)
First they opened their new ornament...pretty much everything for these two is train related...so of course their ornaments are no different...
"Yay!!! new jammies!!"

Sporting their new monster truck jammies...
The boys had a wonderful Christmas...they enjoyed having Gramma and Grampa Davis with us to share in the day. They loved opening their gifts and it was fun to watch the joy on their faces and so far they still believe in Santa so alls well that ends well. Hope you all had a VERY Merry CHRISTmas too!
